On May third, our implementation partner Swiss Energypark, located in Saint-Imier in the Bernese Jura, held a press conference to present CircuBAT and their contribution to the project.
The Swiss Energypark is a pilot region for the energy transition. It offers the opportunity to test, evaluate and implement solutions to increase self-consumption at a regional level. In the project CircuBAT, it’s infrastructure will be used to evaluate – in real-life conditions – a second-life application of batteries as storage for electricity from renewable sources.
In a video, Laurent Raeber, director of the Swiss Energypark, and Andrea Vezzini, project leader CircuBAT and Head BFH Centre Energy storage, explain the project.
